Tetris Ultimate – a puzzle video game developed by SoMa Play and published by Ubisoft released in 2014 on Windows, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS, Xbox Live Arcade, Nintendo eShop and PlayStation Network. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Tetris license, Ubisoft has partnered with The Tetris Company.
It features six exciting modes, fun new features, and unique visuals, the evolution of this iconic game is the ultimate must-have on next-gen consoles.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Tetris license, Ubisoft is partnering with The Tetris Company to release the game on the latest consoles. To do this, Ubisoft acquired the rights to the Tetris license on home and portable consoles in January 2014. Electronic Arts, previously the exclusive owner on these platforms, retains its rights.
In December 2014, following the release of the game, Nintendo removed the Game Boy version of Tetris and the Tetris Axis version from the Nintendo eShop.
