Yoshi (ヨッシー, Yosshī) – a series of platform and puzzle video games that originated as a spin-off of the Mario franchise, published and produced by the Japanese video game company Nintendo.

The games were developed by several studios, including Nintendo, Game Freak, Intelligent Systems, Artoon and its successor Arzest, Good-Feel, and Bullet-Proof Software. Yoshi games were released for Nintendo’s consoles and handheld systems from the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) through the eighth generation of consoles. Some of the NES and Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) games have been re-released for the Game Boy Advance and/or Virtual Console.

The series revolves around Yoshi, a fictional green dinosaur who debuted in the 1990 SNES video game Super Mario World, where he can be ridden by Mario and Luigi. The antagonists of the series are Baby Bowser, the young king of the Koopas, and Kamek, a Magikoopa who looked after Bowser as a baby.
