Ceferino – a fun game similar to ‘super pang’ developed using the SDL library. Don Ceferino Hazaña is a gaucho from Argentina who must rescue his cow from aliens. In the best super pang style, in this game the most important thing is the skill of the player.
You are attacked by little green balls which are bouncing around and which you have to destroy with your knife. Your knife however is limited to being thrown upwards, thus you have to get under the balls to destroy them. Even worse, if you destroy a large ball, it doesn’t just vanish, but breaks apart into two smaller balls. Levels consist of little platforms connected by ladders, so you can go up and down or find cover if needed.
The main character moves with the arrow keys, fires with the ‘x’ key and makes a sweep with the ‘z’ or ‘c’ keys.
You can hold down the sweep keys (‘z’ or ‘c’) so that Ceferino keeps doing the sweep.
With the ‘q’ key you can exit the game immediately.
In the GNU/Linux system you can either choose ‘full screen’ or ‘window’ by pressing the ‘f’ key.
This program is free software and is distributed under the terms of the General Public License GNU.
I just noticed this is in the Debian repos. 🙂
Yes, it is 🙂
