Ys: The Vanished Omens (or: Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished, The Ancient Land of Ys) – an action/RPG video game developed by Falcom in 1987, the first game in the Ys series.
The game was originally developed for the PC-8801 computer under the direction of Masai Hashimoto (director, programmer, designer) and Tomoyoshi Miyazaki (writer).
The game was soon ported to the Sharp X1, PC-9801, FM-7/FM-77, FM-77AV, and MSX2 computer systems. Ancient Ys Vanished has had subsequent releases, such as English-language versions for the Sega Master System, MS-DOS, Apple IIGS, and TurboGrafx-16, as well as remakes for the Sega Saturn and Microsoft Windows platforms.
The game was also released in 1989 as part of the Ys I & II compilation for the TurboGrafx-CD, and later for the Nintendo DS.
