Dragonstomper – an Atari 2600 RPG game, programmed by Stephen Landrum and published in 1982 by Starpath.

Dragonstomper follows the adventures of a dragon hunter, who receives a quest from the king to defeat a dragon and recover a stolen magical amulet. The player makes his way through the field defeating various opponents and earning gold and experience. After gaining strength, the player enters a shop in an oppressed village, where equipment can be purchased, soldiers can be hired, and special scrolls can be obtained to defeat the dragon in its lair. The final part of the journey goes through the dragon’s lair, where he must avoid a series of traps scattered throughout the cave and defeat the dragon.

Dragonstomper allows players to roam a vast landscape fighting creatures, amassing gold, and purchasing weapons and potions to ultimately defeat a powerful dragon. As one of the multi-load Starpath Supercharger titles, Dragonstomper creates an imaginative world originally not thought possible on the Atari VCS.
