WinUAE – a version of the UAE emulator designed to work with Windows. UAE is a joint effort of many Amiga fans, whose goal was to create an emulator that works on multiple operating systems. The UAE source code is available under the GNU Public License.

You can run most games, demos, and programs designed for this computer with it. The overall compatibility with the real Amiga is very high, in addition, WinUAE includes many improvements not available in the standard Amiga. Thanks to the transparent interface, its operation and configuration is very simple and does not require extensive knowledge of the user.

On the basis of WinUAE, a number of compilations (AmiKit, AmigaSYS) of software are still being developed that allow you to experience the modern system of the classic Amiga (based on the AmigaOS and ROM file still available for sale). They contain many AmigaOS system extensions and add-ons (over 20,000 files are included in Amikit) turning the default AmigaOS installation into a completely revamped and fresh environment.
