Bomberman (Dyna Blaster) – an action video game developed by Hudson Soft for the PC Engine in Japan on 7 December 1990.
This is a simple arcade game, well organized which lets you play online with your friends on computers.
Playing with the White Bomberman, you must defeat the Black Bomberman, who kidnapped the daughter of the inventor of both, and locked her in his great castle. To do so, he has to travel to the last level of the castle, which is full of evil monsters and villains working for him.
The single player game is divided into eight worlds, each divided into eight phases. Each stage presents the player with a block maze filled with enemies. Using the bombs, the player must destroy the blocks that are blocking his path and defeat all the enemies. When all the enemies were defeated, the player can proceed to the next phase. Each stage also includes a power hidden in a block, which can increase the number of bombs dropped, increase the distance of the bombs, and other powers. The eighth phase in each world is a boss fight.
The game also includes a multiplayer mode that allows up to 5 players to compete against each other (requires the use of a TurboGrafx-16 Multitap). This mode is exactly the same as the single player mode, with the exception of the powers limited to being Extra Bombs or Fire. There is another alternate mode for this mode, called “Skull Mode”, in which skulls sometimes appear under blocks, which are harmful if caught.
I remember old days I did try to manage last levels of dyna blaster…
