Maou Golvellius (魔王ゴルベリアス? lit. “Evil Golvellius”) – an action-adventure video game for the Japanese MSX system.
It was developed by Satoshi “Pac” Fujishima for Compile and released in 1987. In 1988 it was licensed for the Sega Master System console as a response to Nintendo’s Zelda saga. With improved graphics and a completely different map and dungeons, this version was released worldwide under the name Golvellius: Valley of Doom.1
Since 2009, an emulated version has been available for iPhone terminals.2
